Lowell Fire Results in Multiple Wrongful Deaths

On Thursday July 10, 2014, seven people were killed and nine people were hospitalized as a result of a tragic fire in Lowell, Massachusetts.  This fire, which was the deadliest fire in the state since 1994, was reported early that morning by a police officer passing through the area.  The building involved was a mixed use building that had a liquor store on the first floor and apartments on the second and third floors.  One of the families in the building lost the mother and father and three children; thankfully two of the couple’s children were able to escape the blaze.  Almost fifty people lost their homes that day.

Large-Truck Accidents in Massachusetts

On July 17, 2014, the combination of a lost, out-of-town truck driver and defective truck breaks resulted in a sixty-foot flatbed truck launching into a Boston Common stairwell, just a few blocks from our Six Beacon Street office. Thankfully there were no injuries, but authorities cleared out the vicinity including Boston Common Frog Pond wading area due to concerns about the truck’s fuel tanks and any possible leaks or explosions.

Driver Fatigue and Tractor-Trailer Accidents

On the morning of July 8, 2014, a tractor-trailer rolled over on the ramp between Interstates 290 and 495 in Marlborough, Massachusetts. While thankfully no injuries were reported, the clean-up of the roadway took several hours and highway traffic was at a standstill for a large portion of the day. Pedestrian Accidents in Massachusetts

Preventing Swimming Pool Accidents in Summer
